In Italy, a third vaccination dose is now being offered to certain population groups. This was announced by Prime Minister Mario Draghi on Thursday (Sept. 2) after a meeting of his government. A third dose will be given to people with a weak immune response from the end of September, Health Minister Roberto Speranza specified. Italy considers itself on a good track with vaccinations, Draghi stressed. On Thursday, more than 70 percent of the population over the age of twelve to be vaccinated had been vaccinated. In addition, stricter rules have been in place in Italy since Wednesday. Anyone traveling on long-distance buses or high-speed as well as intercity trains needs proof that they have been vaccinated against Covid-19, tested negative or have recovered. This proof is also known as a Green Pass in Italy. It is a digital or printable certificate.
